At The Reg · 2 The Mall, Waterford, Co. Waterford, X91 W866
TRASH PARTY is a one-night club event at The Reg on The Mall, run by the promoter FIESTA and built entirely around CIS and Russian-language music. The billing promises the loudest and best known hits of the catalogue, from the legendary classics through to current tracks, so the floor moves between older singalong material and newer chart pop rather than sticking to one era. It is a dancing night rather than a listening one, with a full bar running alongside the DJ.
The event runs for four hours, from 10pm on Friday 21 August through to 2am on the Saturday morning. Waterford has a sizeable Russian-speaking and eastern European community across the city and the wider south east, and nights like this one draw from Kilkenny, Wexford and Carlow as well as Waterford itself, so it fills a gap that the regular city club programme does not cover. Tickets are sold in advance through Eventbrite, with refunds available up to seven days before the event, and the price is shown at the booking stage. The Reg’s nightclub rooms are reached through the venue’s own club entrance, so follow the door signage on the night rather than heading for the main bar.
The Reg is on The Mall in Waterford’s Viking Triangle, directly beside Reginald’s Tower and about two minutes on foot from the Quay. Waterford city bus routes stop on the Quay, and Plunkett Station is a ten minute walk across Rice Bridge for anyone arriving by train from Dublin or Limerick Junction. Taxi ranks operate on the Quay and at Broad Street, which matters for a night finishing at 2am. The Michael Street and City Square car parks are both within a short walk, though on-street parking around The Mall is restricted.
