LASH OUT is a queer-run drag show and nightclub night based in Waterford city, staged with Pride of the Déise. This edition drops the sit-down cabaret format the series has used before and runs as a club night all the way through instead, with pop-up drag performances breaking out across the room over the course of the night rather than a single billed show at a set time.
The line-up for 4 September brings Orchid, Queenn Marie, Una Live and Cult of Rhys performing through the night, with DJ sets from Déise Doll holding the floor between them. It runs in The Reg Nightclub, entered through the venue’s Shush door on The Mall rather than the main bar entrance, and doors open at 10pm. The night is strictly over 18s. LASH OUT runs as a recurring series rather than a one-off, with further dates listed by the organisers through the autumn, so this is one occurrence of a night that returns. Tickets are sold in advance through Eventbrite, with refunds available up to one day before the show, and the price is confirmed at the booking stage.
The Reg sits on The Mall in the Viking Triangle, beside Reginald’s Tower and two minutes on foot from Waterford’s Quay. City bus routes stop on the Quay, and Plunkett Station is roughly ten minutes away across Rice Bridge. Taxi ranks operate on the Quay and at Broad Street, worth noting for a night that runs late. Parking is available at the Michael Street and City Square multi-storeys, both a short walk from The Mall, although on-street spaces nearby are restricted.
