At The Lisdoo Bar & Restaurant · Newry Road, Dundalk, Co. Louth
The Cowgirl Experience is a touring day-party format that lands at The Lisdoo on the Newry Road in Dundalk on Saturday 12 September 2026. It runs 6pm to 10pm rather than into the small hours, which is the point of the format: a four-hour party with a fixed finish. The organisers, Day Party HQ, describe it as boots, bars and bad decisions, running on country, rock and pop anthems.
The set list mixes country classics with throwbacks from the 1980s through the 2000s and rock singalongs, played by DJs and broken up by performers and dancers working the room. There is themed decor and a set of photo spots, and a merchandise stand selling cowgirl hats in six colours for anyone who arrives without one. Audience participation is built into the running order, so expect singalong sections rather than a straight DJ set. The format is aimed squarely at group bookings, and the promoters flag birthdays and hen parties as the main audience, so tables tend to go in blocks. Tickets are sold in tiers rather than at a single flat price and are booked in advance through the event listing rather than on the door. The Lisdoo is a bar and restaurant with function facilities, so food is available in the building either side of the party.
The Lisdoo sits on the Newry Road on the northern edge of Dundalk, about three minutes from junction 18 of the M1 and roughly fifty minutes’ drive from both Dublin and Belfast. It has its own car park, which makes it the easier Dundalk venue to drive to. From the town centre it is a fifteen-minute walk or a short taxi ride up Church Street and Bridge Street. Clarke Station on the Dublin to Belfast line is about twenty-five minutes’ walk away.
