At Hush, The Landmark Hotel · The Landmark Hotel, Shannon Lodge, Townparks, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim
Hush is the late-night club that runs out of The Landmark Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday nights, opening at 11pm and going on until late. Carrick is the busiest night-out town in the northwest midlands, drawing hen and stag groups from all over the country, and Hush is where most of that crowd ends up once the Main Street and Bridge Street bars start winding down.
It works as an events brand rather than a permanent building, using the hotel’s large function and entertainment space, which gives it a bigger dancefloor and a better sound rig than the town’s pub-based late bars can manage. Standard club nights are over 18s and the door checks ID. Music is mainstream club and chart with resident and guest DJs, and themed nights are put on around bank holidays and the college calendar. Hush also runs separate teen disco events on other dates, which are a different thing entirely and ticketed in advance. The lineup and any advance ticket links are posted on the Hush Carrick Facebook and Instagram pages a few days before each night, so check there rather than expecting a fixed published programme.
The Landmark Hotel is on the Roscommon side of the bridge in Carrick-on-Shannon, right on the N4 as it passes through the town and overlooking the River Shannon. Carrick-on-Shannon railway station is on the Dublin to Sligo line, about a ten minute walk away, though the last train leaves long before the club closes. There is hotel and town-centre parking, and taxi ranks operate on Main Street at weekends. Most of Carrick’s other late bars are within a five minute walk.
