Fintown Teenage Disco - Back to School Party

At Fintown Parish Hall · Fintown, Co. Donegal, F94 WP57

DJ decks and lighting rig set up for a teenage disco at Fintown Parish Hall

What to Expect

Fintown Parish Hall hosts a back to school teenage disco on Friday 21 August 2026, running from 9pm to 11:30pm. It is timed for the last weekend before secondary schools go back, and entry is restricted to first, second and third year students, so it is a junior-cycle night rather than an all-ages one.

Two DJs are on the bill: JD Disco and DJ Theo, playing chart hits and dance anthems across the two and a half hours, with a full lights and sound rig brought into the hall. The organiser, Donegal Daddy, runs the night as a properly supervised event and states plainly that attendees are expected to respect staff and each other, and that anyone causing disruption may be refused entry or asked to leave.

Tickets are limited and must be booked in advance rather than paid at the door, which is worth acting on early for a hall of this size in a small village. Refunds are available up to seven days before the event. For parents, the finish time of 11:30pm is the number to plan the collection run around.

Getting There

Fintown, or Baile na Finne, sits on the shore of Lough Finn in the Gaeltacht of central Donegal, on the R250 between Glenties and Ballybofey, and the parish hall is in the village. Glenties is about 15km to the west and Ballybofey roughly 25km to the east, with Letterkenny around 40km away by way of the Finn Valley. There is parking in the village. There is no useful evening public transport out here, so for a 9pm start and an 11:30pm finish this is a lifts-and-collection night: parents dropping and picking up at the hall is how it works in practice.
