Alongside its free Friday pub quiz, Pot Duggans in Ennistymon runs a run of ticketed themed quiz nights through the autumn, each built around one pop-culture subject rather than general knowledge. The series opens with the All Out 90s Quiz on Thursday 27 August 2026, listed by the venue as a two-hour event from 7.30pm to 9.30pm and described as being for anyone who lived through the decade. Tickets are sold through Eventbrite, with refunds available up to seven days before the date.
The same format continues into the autumn. A Friends Quiz is listed for Friday 25 September at 7.30pm. Teams generally book a table and eat first, as the pub serves food until 9pm midweek and 9.30pm at weekends. Pot Duggans is on New Road in Ennistymon, north Clare, at the junction of the N85 from Ennis and the N67 coast road. Ennis is about 26km south-east and Lahinch about 3km west, so the pub draws from both. There is on-street parking on New Road and further parking in the town centre a short walk away. Bus Eireann route 350 links Ennistymon with Ennis, Lahinch, Doolin and Galway during the day, but evening services are thin, so plan a lift or taxi for the trip home.
