The Claremont Bar and Nightclub - Lahinch

At The Claremont Bar and Nightclub · Main Street, Lahinch, Co. Clare

Late night at The Claremont Bar and Nightclub on Main Street, Lahinch, County Clare

What to Expect

The Claremont on Main Street is the late-night venue in Lahinch and one of very few dedicated club rooms on the north Clare coast. It opens daily from 6pm and works as a bar through the evening before shifting into club mode later, with themed nights and live music across the week. Sunday to Thursday it closes at midnight; Friday and Saturday it runs to 2am, which is when the club side of the operation actually happens. The crowd reflects the town: surfers off the beach, golfers in from Lahinch Golf Club, and a summer influx of visitors doing the Cliffs of Moher and Burren circuit, plus a steady local trade out of Ennistymon and Miltown Malbay.

Trade is strongly seasonal here. Lahinch is busiest from June to September and around big golf dates, and the Claremont’s programme thickens accordingly, thinning out through the winter. The venue does not publish a fixed weekly schedule on a website, running its announcements through its Facebook page instead, so check there for the night you plan to travel, particularly outside the summer. Group and event enquiries are taken by email. As with most of West Clare, taxis are scarce late at night, so factor the trip home in before you set out.

Getting There

Lahinch is on the north Clare coast about 35km from Ennis on the N85 through Ennistymon, and roughly 3km beyond Ennistymon on the N67. The Claremont is on Main Street in the middle of the village, a two-minute walk from the promenade and the beach car park. On-street parking is free but fills fast on summer evenings, with a larger car park at the seafront. Bus Eireann route 350 serves Lahinch during the day on the Ennis to Doolin and Galway route, but there is nothing useful late at night, so arrange a taxi or stay locally.
