At SETU Arena · SETU Arena, Carriganore, Waterford, Co. Waterford
Waterford Chamber is running a Women in Engineering Breakfast at SETU Arena on the morning of Thursday 15 October 2026, timed to coincide with National Women’s Enterprise Day. It is a one hour session from 9am to 10am, sponsored by Tonn Nua and ESB, bringing together women working in engineering roles across the Waterford and south east business community for networking and discussion over breakfast.
The breakfast sits at the front of a much bigger day at the same venue. Engineering the South East 2026, the region’s engineering conference and expo, runs at SETU Arena from 1pm to 7pm the same afternoon and is free to attend with no ticket needed for general admission. Anyone travelling in for the breakfast can stay on for the expo floor, the conference sessions, the meet-the-buyer business networking and the Future Talent strand aimed at students and school leavers. The breakfast itself is a separate booking through Waterford Chamber.
SETU Arena is at Carriganore on the SETU west campus, just outside Waterford city off the Kilmeaden road, roughly ten minutes by car from the city centre. Coming on the N25 from Cork or Wexford, follow signs for the outer ring road and then for SETU West Campus. There is a large surface car park at the Arena itself, which is normally the easiest option for a morning event. City bus services run to the campus, and Plunkett Station in the city centre is about fifteen minutes away by taxi.
