County Tipperary Chamber runs a members’ morning out to Fethard Horse Country Experience and Coolmore Stud on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, starting at 10:30am. The visit combines a tour of two of the area’s best known horse-breeding and equine heritage sites with a light lunch, giving Chamber members a networking morning built around one of South Tipperary’s signature industries.
The morning opens with complimentary tea, coffee and pastries at Fethard Horse Country Experience from 10:40 to 11:30am, before the group moves on to see Coolmore Stud, the international thoroughbred breeding operation based outside the town. The Chamber’s own listing describes it as “a fabulous morning with a trip to Fethard Horse Country Experience, a trip to Coolmore Stud followed by a light lunch in Sadlers.” The event concludes by 2pm, and is aimed at Chamber members looking to combine networking with a look behind the scenes of the county’s bloodstock industry.
Fethard Horse Country Experience is on the edge of Fethard town, a short drive from Clonmel and Cashel. The town is reached via the R692 from Clonmel or the R689 from Cashel, with parking available at the visitor centre.
Fethard is one of Co. Tipperary’s best preserved medieval walled towns, with sections of town wall, several tower houses and a long association with the horse-racing and bloodstock trade still visible in the streets around the event venue. There is more to see in Fethard and across Co. Tipperary.
