What to Expect

The Louth Business Awards Gala is the biggest night on Dundalk Chamber of Commerce’s calendar, and the 2026 edition runs at the Fairways Hotel on the Dublin Road in Dundalk on Saturday 17 October, from 7pm through to 1am. Tickets are €100. It is the county’s set-piece business dinner: a full evening of dinner, awards presentations across the categories, and entertainment afterwards, with the room made up of tables bought by companies for their own staff and clients rather than individual seats.

The awards themselves cover businesses trading in Louth across a range of categories, from small and micro enterprises up to larger employers, with the shortlists published by the chamber in the weeks before the night. For a county whose economy runs from the pharma and technology plants around Dundalk and Drogheda to a dense layer of family retail, hospitality and trades businesses, the gala is one of the rare occasions when all of it is in one room. A 7pm start with a 1am finish means the formal part of the evening is done reasonably early and the rest is social. Companies planning to attend usually book a table rather than singles, and the chamber handles all bookings directly through its own site.

Getting There

The Fairways Hotel sits on the Dublin Road at the southern edge of Dundalk, on the R132 and minutes from junction 17 of the M1, so it is an easy run from Dublin, Drogheda, Newry and Belfast. There is a large car park on site and rooms at the hotel itself. From Dundalk town centre it is about 3km; taxis run all evening but book ahead for a 1am finish on a Saturday, when demand across the town is heavy. Dundalk Clarke rail station is roughly 4km away.
