Limerick Chamber’s Regional Business Awards and President’s Dinner returns to the Limerick Strand Hotel on Friday 13 November 2026, combining the Mid West’s largest annual business gathering with the Chamber’s flagship awards ceremony. Held in partnership with Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), the black tie evening typically draws more than 400 guests from business, public bodies and community organisations across Limerick, Clare, Tipperary and North Kerry.
There are nine award categories for 2026: Best Emerging Business, Best SME Regional Business Excellence, Best Employer for People and Culture Excellence, the CSR Community Impact Award, Sustainability and Environmental Leadership, Customer Experience Excellence in Retail and Hospitality, Innovation and Digital Transformation, Best Not-for-Profit Impact, and Best Overall Business of the Year. Entries are judged independently and are open to businesses whether or not they are Chamber members. Shortlisted companies are notified in advance and receive complimentary attendance at the ceremony itself.
Chamber chief executive Donnacha Hurley frames the night as recognising “the businesses that are not just succeeding but actively shaping the region’s future”, while Chamber president Maria Gleeson describes the awards as embodying a community that is “diverse, driven, and deeply collaborative”. AIB backs the President’s Dinner element and TUS is the long-standing main sponsor of the awards themselves. The evening combines the President’s Dinner, a fixture of the Limerick business calendar, with the awards presentation, dinner and entertainment, and is generally regarded as the year’s premier networking occasion for the region’s business community. Entries for the 2026 awards close in mid September, with judging and shortlisting taking place in the weeks before the November ceremony.
The Limerick Strand Hotel sits on the Ennis Road on the banks of the River Shannon, a short walk from Limerick city centre and O’Connell Street. The hotel has its own guest parking, and local taxi ranks serve the area for evening events.
