Pumpkins After Dark returns to Newbridge House and Farm from 2 to 31 October 2026, turning the historic demesne and walled garden into an evening Halloween trail lit by more than 10,000 hand-carved pumpkins. Visitors walk a set route past pumpkin sculptures, professional carvers, a 3D mind maze and food stalls, with entry sold in timed slots from 5pm onward each night. The organisers describe it as a family event without jump scares, and a sensory-friendly evening is scheduled for Sunday 11 October 2026 for visitors who prefer a calmer version of the walk.
A roughly one kilometre outdoor walking trail, best allowed an hour or more depending on queues, with warm clothing recommended as it runs entirely after dark. Discounted Thriller Thursday pricing applies on 8, 15 and 22 October. Food trucks and seasonal drinks are available on site, including wood-fired pizza and hot chocolate, and organisers say the route and some pumpkin displays are new for 2026 compared with previous years.
Newbridge House is on the edge of Donabate, reachable by Dublin Bus and by rail on the Dublin to Belfast line, which stops at Donabate station. On-site parking is available but can fill on busy nights, so allow extra time.
Newbridge House and Farm runs Pumpkins After Dark alongside its working farm, café and regular events programme through the rest of the year, and the same grounds host Donabate parkrun on Saturday mornings once the pumpkin trail has ended for the night.
