What to Expect

Larchill Arcadian Gardens runs a Car Boot Market on the first Sunday of every month from May through to September, opening at 10am and finishing at 2pm. Sunday 6 September 2026 is the final date of the 2026 season, so it is the last chance until the series resumes the following May. Sellers set up from their vehicles in the fields beside the entrance and buyers walk the rows, with the usual car boot mix of household goods, secondhand tools, garden bits, books, clothes and bric-a-brac.

Admission is €2 per adult and children go free. The €2 also covers entry to the gardens, so the morning works as a combined trip: browse the boots, then walk the grounds of the 18th century landscaped estate that gives Larchill its name. Because the market runs monthly rather than weekly, the stock turns over properly between dates and sellers tend to bring a full load rather than the same unsold table. Bring cash, as sellers are unlikely to take cards.

Getting There

Larchill is outside Kilcock in north west County Kildare, close to the Meath boundary. Take the M4 from Dublin or the midlands and exit at junction 8 for Kilcock, then follow the local signs for the gardens. Kilcock railway station sits on the Dublin Connolly to Maynooth and Longford commuter line, but the gardens are a few kilometres beyond the village, so most visitors drive. Parking on site is free and there is plenty of it in the adjoining fields.
