BRAVE runs at the Museum of Free Derry from Monday, 1 June to Monday, 9 November 2026. BRAVE stands for Building Resilience and Advancing Violence-free Environments, and the programme is built around six training modules aimed at empowering women as leaders in peacebuilding and community safety. It runs from the museum on Rossville Street in Derry.
The six modules cover leadership, peacebuilding, law and human rights, violence awareness, mental wellness and community project design, run as a structured course rather than a drop-in exhibition. It is aimed at women who want to take on a leadership role in peacebuilding and community safety work locally, working through the six modules over the course of the programme rather than attending a single session. The Museum of Free Derry is at 55 Rossville Street, within walking distance of Derry city centre. The museum tells the story of the civil rights movement, Bloody Sunday and the wider Troubles from the perspective of the Bogside community, and BRAVE runs from the same building as its permanent exhibition.
