At Secret Valley Wildlife Park · Clonroche, Co. Wexford, Y21 DF85
Secret Valley Wildlife Park at Clonroche turns its 40-acre site over to Halloween for three weeks each October, and the daytime Fall Festival is the family-facing half of that programme. The core of it is the pumpkin patch, where children pick a pumpkin to bring home, plus a Monsters’ Woodland Walk populated with Halloween characters and a Witches’ Village laid out with staged scenes through the trees. New for 2026 the park has added a Trick-or-Treat Hunt, where visitors work their way around treat stations dotted through the grounds.
The wildlife park itself stays open alongside the Halloween trail, so the usual animal encounters, keeper talks and hands-on animal sessions run as normal. Tractor rides, an adventure hunt and the playgrounds are all included with admission rather than charged separately. Secret Valley also runs a separate after-dark event on the same site, the Cornmaze Massacre adult scare night, which is ticketed independently and is not suitable for young children.
Clonroche sits in west County Wexford, roughly midway between Enniscorthy and New Ross on the R731. Enniscorthy is the nearest town of size and is on the Dublin Connolly to Rosslare Europort rail line, with Bus Éireann services connecting Enniscorthy, New Ross and Wexford Town. There is no regular scheduled bus to the park gate, so driving is the practical way in. Coming from Dublin, take the M11 to Enniscorthy and then the R731 west; from Waterford, cross at New Ross and follow the R731 north east.
