Cornmaze Massacre Adult Scare Night, Clonroche

At Secret Valley Wildlife Park · Clonroche, Co. Wexford, Y21 DF85

After-dark Halloween scare maze in a County Wexford cornfield

What to Expect

Cornmaze Massacre is the night-time, grown-ups half of Halloween at Secret Valley Wildlife Park in Clonroche. Once the daytime pumpkin patch and woodland trail close, the same site is re-dressed as a live scare attraction built through the maize, and it runs on selected nights across the second half of October. It is a scare event in the full sense, with actors working the maze rather than a walk-through display, so it is pitched at adults and older teenagers rather than families.

The organisers run it as a separate ticketed event with its own website and booking flow, distinct from the park’s daytime Halloween Day Fall Festival. Tickets are released in batches and the operators run a waitlist for people who want to be told the moment new nights open, which is worth joining because the October mid-term nights are the first to go. Because it operates on selected nights only, check the live calendar before travelling rather than assuming a given date is running.

Getting There

Clonroche is in west County Wexford on the R731, about midway between Enniscorthy and New Ross, and the organisers describe the site as roughly an hour and a half from Dublin. From Dublin take the M11 south to Enniscorthy, then the R731 west; from Waterford or Kilkenny come through New Ross and take the R731 north east. Enniscorthy is the closest town with a railway station, on the Dublin Connolly to Rosslare Europort line, and Bus Eireann links Enniscorthy, New Ross and Wexford Town. There is no scheduled bus to the site itself, and as this is a late-evening event, arrange a driver or a taxi in advance.
