Browns Road Library runs a parent and toddler group on alternate Tuesday mornings at 10.30am, and the next confirmed session is Tuesday 18 August 2026. The library service lists the August meetings as Tuesday 4 and Tuesday 18 August, keeping to the fortnightly pattern. It is aimed at children aged 0 to 5 and the adults who mind them, so parents, grandparents, childminders and au pairs are all in the room.
The session is a relaxed drop-in rather than a structured class. Babies and toddlers use the library’s children’s area, with books, toys and floor space set out for the morning, while the adults get a chance to sit and talk to other local families. There is no charge and no need to book, which makes it an easy first outing for anyone new to the area or at home with a small child during the week. Local city bus routes serve Paddy Brown’s Road and the surrounding estates, and there is on-street parking around the library. Drivers coming from the N25 ring road should follow signs for Lisduggan and the Cork Road side of the city. Buggy access is straightforward and the branch is easy to fold into a wider morning of errands in the Lisduggan and Ballybeg area.
