At Crom Estate · Crom Estate Road, Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh, BT92 8AJ
The Upper Erne Canoe Company runs guided canoe trails from Crom Estate on the sheltered water of Upper Lough Erne. The boats are Canadian canoes taking two people each, and all equipment including buoyancy aids is provided, so there is nothing to bring beyond clothes you do not mind getting wet. A guide leads the trail, which means no navigation to worry about and someone on hand who knows the shoreline.
Upper Lough Erne around Crom is a maze of small islands, reed beds and wooded shore, and it is calm water rather than open lough, which is why it suits a guided family trip. Two sessions run on the day, at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, each an hour on the water. The activity is suitable for children over twelve. Weather can force a reschedule, so keep an eye on the forecast and your booking confirmation.

Allow time to park and find the meeting point before your session, and note there is no public transport to the estate gate.
