What to Expect

Teddy On A Broomstick opens Halloween morning at Strule Arts Centre in Omagh at 10am on Saturday 31 October 2026. The show is built around Sammy Ragdoll, who has decided to play at being a witch but has a teddy bear instead of the traditional black cat. When Eddy The Teddy wanders off and lands himself in trouble, the story follows the search for him.

It is told through theatre, mime, puppetry and songs that the audience joins in with, and at an hour long it is pitched at children aged 6 and under. Getting There

Strule Arts Centre is on Townhall Square in the centre of Omagh, beside the river Strule and a couple of minutes’ walk from High Street. Omagh sits where the A5 Derry to Aughnacloy road meets the A32 from Enniskillen, roughly 70 miles from Belfast, 34 from Derry and 27 from Enniskillen. Council car parks at Kevlin Road, Church Street and the Showgrounds are all a short walk from the door, though a Saturday morning in town during half term is busy, so allow extra time with small children in tow. Omagh bus centre on Mountjoy Road is five minutes away on foot with Ulsterbus and Goldline connections.
