At Strule Arts Centre · Townhall Square, Omagh, Co. Tyrone, BT78 1BL
Textile artist Sharyn Kelly runs a two hour children’s craft workshop at Strule Arts Centre in Omagh on Saturday 26 September 2026, from 10am to 12pm. The project for the morning is a cotton bag that each child designs and makes themselves using fabric pens and textiles, described by the centre as “ideal for school PE, dance shoes, or just to look cool”.
The session is open to children aged 4 to 11, a wide span that works because the making is guided rather than technical. Sharyn Kelly is a familiar name at Strule, having run wet felting and textile workshops there for adults through the summer, so the children’s club is taught by someone who works with these materials professionally rather than by a general activity leader. Everyone goes home with a finished bag at the end of the two hours.
