At Market Square and Hill of the O'Neill · Market Square, Dungannon, Co. Tyrone, BT70 1AB
Mid Ulster District Council stages Dungannon Halloween on Friday 30 October 2026, billed simply as Halloween fun and fireworks in Dungannon. The event uses two connected sites in the town centre, Market Square and the Hill of the O’Neill directly above it, which lets the council spread entertainment through the streets while keeping the fireworks display on the elevated ground where it can be seen from a distance.
The date, venues and free admission are confirmed, but the council has not yet published the start time or the detailed programme. It is one of four Halloween nights the council runs across the district in October 2026, following Cookstown on 24 October and preceding Coalisland and Maghera on 31 October. Costume is expected rather than optional at these events, and Market Square is compact, so families with small children tend to arrive at the start rather than in the middle of the crowd.
Market Square is in the centre of Dungannon, with the Hill of the O’Neill and Ranfurly House rising directly behind it. Dungannon comes off junction 15 of the M1 and sits at the meeting of the A29 and A45, about 40 miles from Belfast, 25 from Armagh and 30 from Omagh. Town centre car parks on Scotch Street, Irish Street and at Ranfurly House are all within a few minutes’ walk, but a free town centre event on a Friday night fills them, so come early. Dungannon bus centre on Scotch Street is beside the square and is served by Ulsterbus and Goldline routes from Belfast, Omagh, Cookstown and Armagh.
