What to Expect

Teddy On The Broomstick comes to Wexford Arts Centre on Sunday 1 November 2026, a Halloween family show built for children aged 6 and under. The story follows Sammy Ragdoll and her mischievous teddy bear Eddy, who gets himself into one predicament after another while Sammy is busy playing at being a witch.

The show is made from the elements that hold very young audiences: theatrical staging, mime, puppetry, interactive songs and a good deal of audience participation. It is pitched at children who have never been to live theatre before as well as at families who already know the earlier Eddy the Teddy productions, and the Arts Centre describes it as a Halloween outing where the room ends up singing and joining in rather than sitting still. Running just after the mid-term break and on the day after Halloween itself, it works as a way to stretch the season out by one more day.

Getting There

Wexford Arts Centre is housed in the eighteenth century Market House and Assembly Rooms on Cornmarket, in the pedestrianised heart of Wexford town, a couple of minutes’ walk up from the Quay. Drivers arriving on the N11 from Gorey or the N25 from Rosslare and New Ross should follow signs for the town centre and use the Quay car parks or Redmond Square, both a short walk away and easier for buggies than the narrow lanes closer in. Wexford O’Hanrahan railway station on Redmond Place is about ten minutes on foot, on the Dublin Connolly to Rosslare Europort line. Bus Eireann and Wexford Bus services stop along the Quay.
