At Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre - Oldbridge Estate · Oldbridge House, Oldbridge, Drogheda, Co. Meath
Only the published dates are confirmed for this programme.
Oldbridge Estate closes out its 2026 events calendar with a Christmas Fair on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November, open from 10am to 4pm on both days. The OPW-run grounds of the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre, better known for their 17th-century history and summer farmers markets, take on a seasonal turn for the weekend, with stalls set out across the estate’s parkland and restored Victorian Walled Garden. Free to attend and free to park, it is a low-key alternative to the bigger town Christmas markets elsewhere in the county, built around browsing local stalls in a genuinely scenic Georgian estate setting rather than a purpose-built market square. The visitor centre itself remains open across the weekend too, so the fair can easily be combined with a look at the Battle of the Boyne exhibition, the laser-projected battlefield model, and the estate’s walking trails along the Boyne. The fair rounds off a busy year of events on the estate, which has also hosted a summer farmers market, living history re-enactment weekends and guided walks through 2026, and gives visitors one last reason to make the trip out before winter closes in on the parkland.
