What to Expect

The Oldbridge Farmers Market sets up in the grounds of Oldbridge House at the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre, just west of Drogheda, on Sunday 6 September 2026 from 10am to 2pm. It is a small market by design, running up to twelve stalls, which keeps it a producer market rather than a general craft fair. The meat traders lead the billing, with the stock described as grass fed and organic, and the rest of the line-up comes from local food producers.

The setting is the point of difference. Oldbridge House is a restored Georgian house on the Boyne with formal walled gardens and parkland, and the market runs in that ground rather than on a street or in a car park. That makes it an easy Sunday morning to combine with a walk on the estate paths or a visit to the visitor centre itself, which covers the 1690 battle fought across this stretch of the river. Entry to the market is free. Bring a bag and cash as well as a card, since small producer stalls do not always carry terminals. Parking is on site.

Getting There

Oldbridge sits about five kilometres west of Drogheda off the R132, signposted from the town as the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre. Coming off the M1, exit at junction 9 or 10 for Drogheda and follow the brown heritage signs. There is a large free car park at the visitor centre. The Oldbridge parkrun uses the same estate on Saturday mornings, so the route in is familiar to anyone who runs it. There is no direct public transport, so plan to drive or take a taxi from Drogheda town centre, roughly ten minutes away.
