The Cottage Market has traded in Drogheda for a decade, mostly as a monthly indoor market at Scotch Hall. Flavours of The Cottage Market takes two of its regular producers out of the stall format and gives them a two-hour evening of their own at The Bare Food Company on West Street. The two on the bill for 28 August 2026 are Boyne Pastures Cheeses and Urban Indian Street Food, so the evening pairs a local cheesemaker with an Indian street food kitchen rather than running a single-cuisine tasting.

The Bare Food Company is a zero-waste food shop on West Street, which makes it a natural room for a producer-led evening: small, retail-scale, and already stocked with the kind of dry goods and local produce the market trades in. Expect the producers themselves to talk through what they make rather than a compered tasting. The event runs 6.30pm to 8.30pm, which makes it an evening you can do before or instead of dinner rather than a full sit-down meal. Tickets are booked in advance through the market’s Eventbrite page and the organiser allows refunds up to seven days before. Getting There

West Street is the main street in Drogheda town centre, running from the Tholsel west towards Fair Street. Number 15 is at the eastern end, a minute’s walk from the Tholsel. The Scotch Hall multi-storey car park across the river footbridge is the closest large car park, with Stockwell Street a similar distance on the north side. Drogheda MacBride station on the Dublin to Belfast line is about ten minutes’ walk, and the Dublin Road coach stops served by Bus Eireann and Matthews are a similar distance.
