Cookery Course with Geraldine Green at the EDI Centre Longford

At EDI Centre Longford · Mastertech Business Park, Athlone Road, Longford, Co. Longford

Cookery course session at the EDI Centre in Longford town

What to Expect

Family Carers Ireland is running a three-morning cookery course with Geraldine Green at the EDI Centre on the Athlone Road in Longford town, on Thursdays 3, 10 and 17 September 2026. Each session runs from 10am to 1pm. The stated aim is preparing meals that are both nutritious and cheap, so the teaching covers easy recipes, ingredients that do not cost much, and the basic techniques that make them work. Each morning includes tasting what has been made.

The course is aimed specifically at family carers in Longford and Westmeath, and it is priced accordingly: €5 covers all three sessions rather than €5 per morning. Booking is through Eventbrite, and the organiser lists refunds as available up to seven days before the start date. Three consecutive Thursday mornings is a deliberate structure rather than a one-off demonstration, so the sessions build on each other and places are limited to the number the kitchen can take. The EDI Centre is a purpose-built enterprise and training venue in the Mastertech Business Park, on the southern approach into town.
