Dr Richard Hogan: Parenting the Screenager, Moat Theatre Naas

At The Moat Theatre · Abbey Road, Naas, Co. Kildare

Parenting talk on teenagers and screen use at the Moat Theatre, Naas

What to Expect

Dr Richard Hogan brings Parenting the Screenager to the Moat Theatre in Naas on Sunday 18 October 2026, an hour-long live session from 8pm aimed at parents of teenagers rather than at the teenagers themselves.

Hogan is an Irish psychotherapist and a familiar face from television, and the theatre bills the evening as energetic, lighthearted and highly practical rather than a formal lecture. The ground it covers is the stuff that actually keeps parents awake: social media, gaming, anxiety and online safety, alongside bullying, body image pressure, exam stress and digital wellbeing. The practical half is about communication, how to open a conversation with a teenager who does not want one, how to set boundaries that hold, and how to read adolescent behaviour without escalating it. Tickets are €25 plus booking fee. Parenting talks at the Moat tend to draw from across mid Kildare rather than just Naas, so booking ahead is sensible.
