What to expect

The Autumn Fair and PopUp Shop is a two day fundraiser run by KWWSPCA at Newbridge Town Hall on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October. The event combines a stall based fair with a pop up version of the charity’s shop, where donated goods, gifts, homeware and seasonal items are sold in aid of the animal welfare charity’s work across Kildare and west Wicklow. It is one of several fixed points on the KWWSPCA fundraising calendar at Newbridge Town Hall through the second half of the year, alongside a table quiz in November and a Christmas fair at the same venue. Stock varies from stall to stall and changes across the two days as items are donated and sold, so regular visitors to KWWSPCA’s fundraisers tend to call in on both days rather than just one. As with the charity’s other shop and fair events, everything on sale has been donated by supporters, and proceeds go directly toward the shelter’s running costs, including veterinary care, food and staffing for the animals in its care. There is no admission charge to browse the fair itself, though prices for individual items vary and are set on the day. Getting there

Newbridge is just off the N7 dual carriageway roughly 45 minutes from Dublin city centre, and the Town Hall sits in the centre of town close to the main shopping streets. Newbridge has its own train station on the Dublin Heuston to Waterford and Kilkenny line, a short walk from the town centre, and Bus Eireann services connect the town to Naas, Kildare town and Dublin. On street parking and a number of public car parks serve the town centre around the Town Hall.
