At The Moat Theatre · Abbey Road, Naas, Co. Kildare
The Brian Brady Youth Theatre closes out its summer school with two public performances at the Moat Theatre in Naas, on Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 August 2026, both starting at 7pm.
This is the payoff at the end of a residential-style summer programme: the young company spends the weeks working on movement, voice and ensemble scenes, and the last two evenings put the results in front of an audience in the Moat’s main auditorium. The Moat lists it as a family show, and the room on those nights is largely parents, grandparents, siblings and the wider Naas theatre crowd. It is worth going even without a child on stage if you want a sense of what the county’s youth theatre scene is producing, and tickets are €15 plus booking fee, well under the price of the venue’s touring shows. Two nights means the company gets a second run at it and families who cannot make the Monday have the Tuesday.
The Moat Theatre is on Abbey Road in the centre of Naas, a couple of minutes’ walk from the Main Street and the Town Hall. From the M7, take junction 9 or junction 10 and follow the town centre signs. There is parking at the Moat and in the town centre car parks, and a 7pm start means most daytime spaces have cleared. Sallins and Naas railway station is around 4km west on the Dublin Heuston to Kildare and Cork line, with taxis and a local bus link into town. Bus routes connect Naas with Dublin, Newbridge and Kilcullen.
