Kia Ora Mini Farm, Gorey

At Kia Ora Mini Farm · Courteencurragh, Gorey, Co. Wexford

Young children meeting farm animals at a mini farm

What to Expect

Kia Ora Mini Farm at Courteencurragh, just outside Gorey, is one of north Wexford’s standing family attractions and stays open through the autumn until the season ends. It is pitched at younger children in particular, with farm animals, indoor and outdoor play and a cafe, and the scale of it suits toddlers and primary age children better than a full day at a larger park.

Opening hours shift as the season turns. Through September the farm runs 9.30am to 5.30pm daily. In October it moves to 9.30am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday, and it closes for the winter on 1 November. That October window covers the school mid-term break, which is the busiest week of the autumn at the farm.

Kia Ora runs seasonal activity around Halloween aimed at the younger end, with gentle scares rather than a scare attraction, and fancy dress is welcomed by families over the mid-term. Exact Halloween dates, activities and prices are set by the farm each year and published on its own site and social channels rather than on listings pages, so check directly before travelling.

Getting There

Kia Ora Mini Farm is at Courteencurragh, in the countryside outside Gorey in north Wexford. Drivers coming from Dublin or Wexford leave the M11 at the Gorey junctions and follow the local roads and signage out to the farm, a drive of roughly ten minutes from Gorey town. There is parking on site. Public transport does not serve the farm gate, so a car is effectively necessary, although taxis run from Gorey town. Courtown and the north Wexford beaches are close by if you want to build a full day around the visit.
