At Lurgan Park · Lurgan Park, Lurgan, Co. Armagh
Only the published dates are confirmed for this programme.
Jog On Cancer is a 5K and 10K run and walk in Lurgan Park on Sunday 18 October 2026, starting at 10am.
Now in its sixth year, the event lets participants choose between the 5K and the more challenging 10K, both through the parkland of Lurgan Park. Entry costs £20, with proceeds supporting local people affected by cancer, both men and women, in the community. Anyone who cannot attend in person can take part virtually at any time during October, with rewards posted out afterwards. The event is organised by Jog On Cancer, and the parkland setting is a large part of the appeal: Lurgan Park is Northern Ireland’s largest urban park, and its lake was hand-dug as relief work during the Famine, so the route takes in a fair slice of local history as well as a 5K or 10K distance.
Lurgan Park is in the centre of Lurgan, Co. Armagh, with Brownlow House standing inside the park itself.
Lurgan is a planted town built around a long ridge and a long park - Lurgan Park itself, where the run takes place. At 259 acres it is Northern Ireland’s largest urban park, sitting behind Brownlow House, and was the first park in Ireland to win a Green Flag award, in 2008.
