Fermanagh and Omagh District Council brings its Live ‘n’ Local festive street music programme to Enniskillen town centre on Saturday, 28 November 2026 at 1pm, a free afternoon of street performance timed to the first weekend after the town’s Christmas lights switch-on. The council runs the same programme in Omagh on the same date, as part of a district-wide run of free festive events through the weeks leading up to Christmas.
The council lists the event simply as a “Festive Street Music Programme,” free to attend, with performers set up around the town centre rather than a single ticketed stage. It follows directly on from the Christmas lights switch-on on 21 November, giving Enniskillen a second free festive date a week later, and sits within a wider run of council events, workshops and shows programmed across Fermanagh and Omagh through November and December. Exact performer line-ups and pitch locations had not been published at the time of writing, so it is worth checking the council’s event page again nearer the date.
Enniskillen town centre is small enough to walk around once parked, set on the strip of land between the upper and lower reaches of Lough Erne. Public car parks around the town, including at Erneside Shopping Centre, are the most convenient option for anyone driving in, with a short walk from there into the main streets. As with the switch-on the previous week, expect the town centre to be busier than a typical Saturday afternoon.
By late November the town centre is already dressed for Christmas, making this a good date to combine with some Christmas shopping or a visit to Enniskillen Castle. There is more to see in Enniskillen and across Co. Fermanagh.
