At The Boatyard Distillery · 346 Lough Shore Road, Tullybay Marina, Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh, BT93 7DX
The Village Day Out is The Boatyard Distillery’s answer to a practical problem: the distillery sits on the Lough Erne shore several miles outside Enniskillen, and getting a group there and home again usually means someone stays on the soft drinks all evening. The distillery lays on complimentary transport from participating villages, collects guests, runs them through its Taste and Tour Experience and drops them back. The next date is Saturday 29 August 2026, with pick-ups timed to a 4:00pm start at the distillery.
The Taste and Tour Experience runs about 90 minutes. It opens with a gin and tonic on arrival, moves through the story of how the distillery was set up as Fermanagh’s first legal distillery since 1890, and takes in the working production floor from the stills to the labelling line. Guests get a neat tasting of the full spirits range and two cocktails made behind the bar, then sign and label a personalised 70cl bottle to take home. The Village Day Out runs roughly monthly, with further dates on 26 September at 4:00pm, 31 October at 3:30pm and 28 November 2026. Groups of twelve or more get one place free, which is why it tends to be booked by clubs, workplaces and village groups rather than by couples.
The distillery is at Tullybay Marina on the Lough Shore Road, about 15 minutes’ drive northwest of Enniskillen on the water side of the road, with its own car park. The whole point of the Village Day Out, though, is that you do not drive: transport is included from participating villages and returns afterwards, so confirm your pick-up point when booking. Enniskillen itself is reached on the A4 and the A32.
