Gin Island: The Enniskillen Gin Experience

At Various venues, Enniskillen · Enniskillen town centre, Co. Fermanagh

What to Expect

Gin Island is a guided gin tour around Enniskillen run by Enniskillen Taste Experience, taking a small group through five of the town’s food and drink venues over the course of an evening. At each stop the group is served a cocktail made for the tour and paired with food, and the route is built around bars and kitchens a visitor working from a map would not necessarily find. The next public date is Friday 2 October 2026, with the tour running roughly once a month through the year.

The tour leans on Enniskillen’s geography. The historic centre sits on an island in the River Erne between Upper and Lower Lough Erne, which is where the name comes from and why the walking distances between venues stay short. Fermanagh has a real claim to the subject too: The Boatyard Distillery produces gin on the Lough Erne shore a few miles outside the town, and the county’s food and drink scene has built up around that in the last decade. Further public dates are listed for 27 November and 4 December 2026, and private bespoke tours can be arranged Wednesday to Friday directly with the organiser. Numbers are capped, so booking ahead is necessary rather than optional.
