At The Round O · Round O, Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh, BT74 7EU
The summer paddlesports programme at the Round O runs four evenings a week and is built as an introduction rather than a course for people who already paddle. Sessions cover kayak skills, multi-craft taster nights, inclusive open canoe paddling, sea kayak instruction and family-friendly paddling, with the specific craft varying by night. All equipment is provided and there is qualified instruction on the water.
The age floor is seven, with sea kayak skills restricted to fourteen and over and junior leadership to thirteen and over. No swimming ability is required, which removes the usual barrier for a family session. Sessions run from 6:45 PM to 8:30 PM, so they fit around a working day and finish in daylight through most of the season. The programme runs to 22 August 2026.
The Round O is on the west bank of the River Erne on the Donegal side of Enniskillen, a walkable distance from the town centre and next to the town’s lakeside paths. Drivers from Dublin and Cavan take the A509 and then the A4, Belfast traffic uses the M1 and A4, and the A32 runs south from Omagh. There is parking at the Round O itself, with more in the town centre car parks a short walk away. Enniskillen bus station on Wellington Road is about fifteen minutes on foot. Arrive early enough to change and be kitted out before the 6:45 PM start, since the session time is water time.
