At The Rediscovery Centre · The Boilerhouse, Ballymun Road, Dublin 9, D09 HK58
Only the published dates are confirmed for this programme.
The Rediscovery Centre gets an early start on Christmas with a pallet-wood tree workshop on Saturday 14 November, led by Jay and Jo of The Dublin Polishers. It suits anyone who would rather build a decoration than buy one, and pairs of adults and children looking for a shared project ahead of December.
Each ticket covers two people building one table-top Christmas tree from reclaimed pallet wood, with materials pre-cut so the two-hour session focuses on assembly and decoration rather than cutting timber from scratch. Jay and Jo of The Dublin Polishers, known locally for pallet and reclaimed-wood furniture, run the session, and participants take their finished tree home at the end. The minimum age is eight, and children must attend with an adult, making it a genuine two-person project rather than a class with a bored parent watching from the side. As with the centre’s other Saturday workshops, the session needs a minimum number of bookings to go ahead, so booking early helps secure the date.
The Rediscovery Centre is at The Boilerhouse, Ballymun Road, Dublin 9. There is no Luas or DART service to Ballymun, so Dublin Bus is the practical way in, with services running along the Ballymun Road corridor into the city centre. On-site parking is available at the centre.
The centre runs workshops most Saturdays through the run-up to Christmas, including repair and craft sessions, so it is worth browsing its Eventbrite page for other dates. There is more to explore across Co. Dublin.
