Fingal Festival of Fire

At Multiple Fingal Venues · Swords Town Park, Swords; Bremore Castle, Balbriggan; Millennium Park, Blanchardstown; Malahide Castle, Malahide

Fireworks lighting up the sky at the Fingal Festival of Fire

Fingal County Council’s Halloween centrepiece runs at four locations across the county on the same night, giving families in Swords, Balbriggan, Blanchardstown and Malahide a free, organised alternative to bonfires and back garden fireworks. The Festival of Fire pairs music and family entertainment with a proper fireworks display at each site, timed to go off together at half seven. It is run through the council’s Events Unit as part of its wider Safer Halloween programme with An Garda Síochána and Dublin Fire Brigade, and it is one of the best-attended free events on the Fingal calendar every year.

What to Expect

Entertainment gets going at 6:30pm at all four venues. Swords Town Park has live Halloween music, while Bremore Castle in Balbriggan and Millennium Park in Blanchardstown each get a scary-themed DJ set, and Malahide Castle has its own scary disco. Fireworks launch simultaneously at 7:30pm across all four sites. It is a family event rather than a late-night one, so expect a broad mix of ages, fancy dress, and a fairly short window from arrival to the fireworks finishing.
