At RDS · Merrion Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4
Only the published dates are confirmed for this programme.
Comic-Con Ireland brings its first Dublin event to the RDS over the weekend of 21 to 23 November, covering comics, sci-fi, fantasy, gaming, horror and cosplay under one roof. It suits fans of any of those genres, as well as families looking for a day out with celebrity meet and greets, photo opportunities and a cosplay competition to watch.
Hall 8C at the RDS fills with a vendor hall for comics, collectibles and merchandise, a stage programme of guest appearances and panels, and a cosplay competition open to attendees. As an inaugural event, the exact guest list and full programme are being confirmed in the run up to the weekend, so it is worth checking the ticket page closer to the date for the finalised lineup.
The RDS is on Merrion Road in Ballsbridge, about 2km south of the city centre. Lansdowne Road DART station is a five minute walk from the main entrance, and Dublin Bus routes 4 and 7 run directly from the city centre. On site parking is available but is best avoided on what is likely to be a busy weekend; the DART is the more reliable option.
Ballsbridge has a good range of cafes and restaurants around Merrion Road and Pembroke Street for a break between the halls, and the Dodder riverbank is a short walk away for some quieter air. There is more to see in Co. Dublin.
