Brehon Brewhouse: The Gathering 2026

At Brehon Brewhouse · Dunelty, Inniskeen, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan A91 E170

Craft beer glasses at an Irish farm brewery event

What to Expect

The Gathering is Brehon Brewhouse’s own annual celebration, and for 2026 it is listed on the county tourism calendar across two dates, Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September. The brewery has said it is making the event bigger this year by spreading the celebrations over two nights rather than the single night it has run in previous years. Brehon is a farm brewery at Dunelty outside Carrickmacross, run by the McMahon family on land they have farmed for ten generations, and all the brewing, bottling and canning is done on site by hand. Past editions of the brewery’s own celebrations, including its tenth birthday party, have combined the beer with live music from local bands.

At the time of writing the full programme is still being released rather than published in one place: line-up, times and ticket arrangements are being announced through the brewery’s Facebook page, and the county tourism listing carries the dates only. Anyone planning to travel for it should check the brewery’s page for the running order before setting off, and confirm whether tickets are needed in advance. If you want the fuller brewery experience alongside it, Brehon also runs guided farm and brewery tours with a tasting most Saturdays at noon, bookable separately by phone or email.
