At Monaghan Peace Campus · Plantation Road, Monaghan, Co. Monaghan, H18 RP20
Monaghan Peace Campus is marking August Craft Month with a run of craft events spread across its library and museum spaces for the whole of August 2026. The campus lists it as a programme rather than a single session, filed under its library, museum and arts and crafts strands, which puts it in the same bracket as the building’s other drop-in and workshop-style activity rather than a ticketed show.
The Peace Campus is the county’s newest cultural building, holding Monaghan Town Library and Monaghan County Museum under one roof along with exhibition and workshop space, so a craft programme here has room to run in several rooms at once. What the campus has not done is publish the detailed schedule online: the listing names the programme and the venue but carries no individual workshop titles, dates, times, age guidance or fees. That is worth knowing before you plan a trip around it. The events team publishes and updates the programme as it firms up, and takes enquiries by phone on 047 30046 or 047 30047, or by email at events@monaghanpeacecampus.com. Anyone wanting to book a specific workshop, or check whether a session suits a particular age group, should go through them directly rather than turning up on spec.
Monaghan Peace Campus is on Plantation Road on the edge of Monaghan town, roughly a ten minute walk from Church Square. It is a modern purpose-built building with on-site parking and level access throughout. Monaghan town bus station handles Bus Eireann services along the N2 Dublin to Derry corridor plus local county routes, so the campus is one of the easier venues in Monaghan to reach without a car.
