The Market Place Theatre and AC Creative Events bring a new Robin Hood pantomime to Armagh from Saturday, 28 November to Sunday, 20 December 2026. Performance times vary through the run, so check the box office for individual dates.
This reimagined telling sends Robin, Maid Marian and their band into “Sher-you-wood Forest” to take on the Sheriff, built around comedy, sword fights, songs, and sets and costumes aimed at a family audience, with the usual panto audience participation. Performances run at different times across the six-week run, including matinees and evenings. A relaxed performance is scheduled for Saturday 5 December at 11am, a BSL-signed performance for Saturday 12 December at 5pm, and a captioned performance for Thursday 17 December at 6.30pm. Schools performances also run during the week; contact the box office for pricing.
The Market Place Theatre and Arts Centre is on Market Street, Armagh, County Armagh, BT61 7BW, in the city centre. Armagh is roughly 40 miles south-west of Belfast and around 85 miles north of Dublin, with the A3 and A28 the main routes in by car, and the theatre is a short walk from the city’s main car parks.
The theatre sits close to both of Armagh’s cathedrals and to the Mall, a green square that was a horse-racing course until Archbishop Robinson bought it in 1773 and laid Georgian terraces around its edge. A panto matinee pairs easily with lunch on English Street or a walk up to either St Patrick’s. More on Armagh and the rest of Co. Armagh.
