At Various Venues · County Wexford
Round 4 of the Enniscorthy Farm Systems Junior A Football Championship is played on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 August 2026 across four club grounds. Junior A is the base grade of adult county football in Wexford and it is where the smallest clubs and the second teams of larger hurling parishes meet. The football is direct and the crowds are local, but a Junior A championship is often the biggest thing a small club will contest in a decade, so the intensity in the closing group rounds is real. Group A and Group B fixtures both feature in this round.
The round opens on Friday evening with Gusserane-O’Rahilly’s against Ballyhogue in Group A at 7:00pm, with the venue listed as to be confirmed on the county fixtures portal. Saturday carries three 6:00pm throw-ins: Realt na Mara against Castletown at Ballygarrett in Group B, St Mary’s Maudlintown against Starlights at The Rocks in Maudlintown, also Group B, and St Brigid’s Blackwater against Shelmaliers at Blackwater in Group A. Wexford GAA publishes confirmed venues, throw-in times and referee appointments on its fixtures portal, and the Friday fixture in particular should be checked there before setting out. Admission is collected at the gate as with all adult club championship football in the county.
The grounds are scattered across east and north Wexford. Ballygarrett is on the R742 coast road between Gorey and Kilmuckridge, Blackwater sits on the R741 about 15km north of Wexford town, and The Rocks in Maudlintown is on the southern edge of Wexford town itself and walkable from the centre. Parking at the rural pitches is roadside or in a field gate, so arrive early and park considerately. Other than the Wexford town venue, a car is effectively required.
