Culture Night 2026 in County Wexford

At Venues across County Wexford · Enniscorthy, Gorey, New Ross, Rosslare and Wexford Town, Co. Wexford

Evening cultural event in a Wexford town square

What to Expect

Culture Night 2026 takes place on Friday 18 September, running from 4pm until late, with every activity free of charge. In County Wexford the programme is spread across all five municipal districts, so events are staged in Enniscorthy, Gorey and Kilmuckridge, New Ross, Rosslare and Wexford Town rather than being concentrated in one place. Galleries, libraries, museums, studios, churches, heritage sites and civic buildings open their doors after hours, and a good number of the participating venues are ones you cannot normally get into in the evening.

Confirmed Wexford items include a performance of Indian classical dancing at Gorey Library from 4pm to 4.45pm, accompanied by musicians from the Indian Classical Music Society of Ireland. In Wexford Town the National Opera House foyer hosts an opening performance by nine year old Bohdan Grechko, and The Bridge Singers perform a range of musical numbers at the bandstand in St Peter’s Square at 7pm. Down on the Hook Peninsula, Hook Lighthouse marks the night with a maritime heritage celebration. Further listings are added in the weeks before the night, so the county programme grows through late August and early September.
