At Theatre Royal Waterford · The Mall, Waterford, Co. Waterford
Tramore Community Theatre Group take over Theatre Royal Waterford for four nights from Tuesday 27 to Friday 30 October 2026 with We Will Rock You. The musical is set in a future where live music has been outlawed, and follows Galileo, Scaramouche and the Bohemians as they work to bring back rock, freedom and individuality. The book carries the plot but the score is the reason people come: more than twenty Queen songs across the show.
This is a full local production with a live band, choreography and a cast built out of the Tramore group’s membership, staged on the Theatre Royal main stage rather than a community hall. Four consecutive nights is a substantial run for a community company and reflects the scale of the show, which needs the ensemble numbers and the band to land. Curtain is 7:30 PM each night, half an hour earlier than most Theatre Royal evening shows. Tickets are €28.
Theatre Royal is on The Mall in Waterford city centre, a short walk from the Quay and the city centre bus stops. Drivers reach Waterford on the M9 from Dublin or the N25 from Cork and Wexford, with multi-storey and on-street parking a few minutes from the door. Tramore is about 13 km south of the city on the R675, with regular bus links into the city centre. Plunkett Station is on the north bank of the Suir, roughly fifteen minutes on foot across Rice Bridge.
