Waterford Under 14 Hurling Championship Phase 2 in 2026

What to Expect

Phase 2 of the Morris DIY County Under 14 Hurling Championship carries the competition through late August, with the divisions regraded after the opening phase so that teams meet opposition closer to their own level. Eleven games are fixed for Thursday 20 August, all throwing in at 6:30 PM.

Division 2 has Clonea against An Ghaeltacht at Clonea, Cois Bhride against St Marys Juvenile at Tallow, and St Patrick’s against Clan na Gael at Colligan. Division 3 features Mount Sion against Fourmilewater at Mount Sion, Naomh Brid/Affane Cappoquin Tourin against Ballygunner at Cappoquin, and Portlaw/Ballyduff against Ballyduff Upper at Portlaw. Division 4 sends Clashmore Kinsalebeg out against Kilrossanty, Ferrybank against Deuglán Naofa, and St Mollerans against St Oliver’s. Division 5 has Dungarvan against Ballygunner and Micheal MacCraith against Abbeyside-Ballinacourty at Tramore. In the previous round on 6 August, Clonea put 8-14 past St Patrick’s and Kilrossanty beat Deuglán Naofa 6-9 to 3-5.

• Underage fixtures are prone to late changes. Confirm on the Waterford GAA site before travelling.

Getting There

The round covers most corners of the county. Tallow, Cappoquin and Ballyduff Upper sit along the N72 Blackwater valley road west of Dungarvan. Colligan is a few minutes north-east of Dungarvan off the R672. Clonea is inland from Rathgormack in the north of the county, not to be confused with Clonea Strand near Dungarvan. Mount Sion and Ferrybank are Waterford city grounds, Ferrybank across Rice Bridge on the north bank of the Suir. Portlaw is off the N25 towards Carrick-on-Suir, and Micheal MacCraith’s pitch is in Tramore. St Mollerans play at Carrickbeg on the Waterford bank of the Suir opposite Carrick-on-Suir. Most venues have club parking; the smaller pitches rely on roadside space.
