What to Expect

The Waterford Senior Camogie Club Championship opens its 2026 group stage on Saturday 15 August. Eight clubs are split into two groups of four, with each group playing a three-round series across three weekends before the knockout stages.

Group 1 pairs Cappoquin with Gailltir and Tramore with Brickey Rangers in the opening round. Group 2 has Modeligo against St Anne’s and Lismore against De La Salle. Gailltir have been the standard-bearers for Waterford camogie in recent seasons and have carried the county’s colours into Munster and All-Ireland club competition, so their group games tend to be the ones to watch. Round 2 follows on Saturday 22 August, with Gailltir against Tramore, Brickey Rangers against Cappoquin, De La Salle against Modeligo and St Anne’s against Lismore. Round 3 is a midweek card on Wednesday 2 September: Brickey Rangers against Gailltir, Cappoquin against Tramore, Modeligo against Lismore and De La Salle against St Anne’s.

• Throw-in times and venues had not been published on the county fixtures list at the time of writing. Waterford Camogie post them close to each round.
• Admission is charged at most club grounds, and it is generally lower than for adult men’s county championship games.

Getting There

The eight clubs are spread across the county, so check the venue once it is confirmed. Gailltir draw from the Gaultier area east of Waterford city, and De La Salle play at Gracedieu on the north side of the city, both reachable on city bus routes. Tramore is 15 minutes south of the city on the R675 with a frequent bus service. Cappoquin and Lismore sit along the N72 in the Blackwater valley, about 20 and 25 minutes north-west of Dungarvan. Modeligo is inland from Cappoquin off the R671, and Brickey Rangers are at Bushy Park just outside Dungarvan. Bus Éireann route 40 runs Waterford to Dungarvan for the western venues.
