Revenge at Hotel Rapscallion: Waterford Youth Arts at Garter Lane

At Garter Lane Theatre · O'Connell Street, Waterford, Co. Waterford

Young actors performing a murder mystery play at Garter Lane Theatre Waterford

What to Expect

Waterford Youth Arts return to Garter Lane Theatre for a three-night run from Thursday 10 to Saturday 12 September 2026 with Revenge at Hotel Rapscallion. A group of campers take shelter from a storm at the hotel and find themselves caught in a murder mystery involving a set of wealthy guests. As the case unravels, supernatural forces start to surface and threaten a vengeance of their own, pushing the piece out of straight whodunnit territory.

The play is written by Mary O’Donoghue, a young playwright and performance poet, and directed by Liam Meagher, who has more than 35 years of experience working with young people in the arts. It is produced by Waterford Youth Arts in association with Garter Lane Arts Centre, the pairing that puts several youth productions on the Garter Lane main stage each year. Tickets are €17 standard and €15 concession, with an early bird rate of €10 available until 26 August, all plus booking fee.
