Mad Ferritt presents Oasis MTV Unplugged...ish at Theatre Royal Waterford

At Theatre Royal Waterford · The Mall, Waterford, Co. Waterford

Oasis tribute band with strings and brass on stage at Theatre Royal Waterford

What to Expect

Mad Ferritt are a Waterford-based Oasis tribute act, and their return to Theatre Royal on Friday 18 September 2026 is built around the band’s 1996 MTV Unplugged broadcast. The set blends that acoustic repertoire with the group’s usual electric material plus extra hits and B-sides, played by a 14-piece band that includes string and brass sections. Their stated aim has always been to mimic the raw power and swagger of an Oasis live show at its peak, and the expanded lineup is what makes the Unplugged arrangements possible.

This is a well-established home fixture rather than a one-off booking. Mad Ferritt have sold out Theatre Royal in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024, so the room knows the show and the show knows the room. Theatre Royal notes that alcohol is served during the performance and that patrons may stand and dance, with a request to be mindful of anyone who stays seated. Children may attend with adult supervision at a parent’s discretion. Tickets are €32.50.
