What to Expect

The Ennio Morricone Experience returns to Theatre Royal Waterford on Saturday 17 October 2026 with a programme covering the Italian composer’s film work. Alongside the pieces most people arrive expecting, from A Fistful of Dollars, The Good the Bad and the Ugly, Cinema Paradiso and The Mission, the show has added newer repertoire this time out: music from The Thing, A Fistful of Dynamite, The Exorcist II, La Califa and My Name is Nobody.

The ensemble is made up of international soloists Katy Kelly, Annalisa Monticelli, Francesca De Nardi and Davide Forti, with guest performers joining them. The group has been featured on RTE’s Arena and plays regularly to sold-out houses around Ireland, so the Waterford date is worth booking ahead rather than chancing on the night. Getting There

Theatre Royal is on The Mall in Waterford city centre, a couple of minutes from the Quay and the city centre bus stops. Drivers come in on the M9 from Dublin or the N25 from Cork and Wexford, with multi-storey and on-street parking a short walk away. Plunkett Station, the city’s rail and Bus Eireann terminus, is across the Suir on the north bank, roughly fifteen minutes on foot over Rice Bridge.
