What to Expect

The eastern board also settled its relegation question on 7 August, when Erin’s Own beat Dunhill 3-17 to 3-13 at Kill. St Mollerans bring support down from the Suir valley around Carrickbeg, while Roanmore draw from the Cleaboy Road side of Waterford city, so this is a genuine town-and-country pairing.

Getting There

Dunhill is about 15 kilometres west of Waterford city, off the R675 coast road towards Tramore and Annestown. From the city, take the Cork Road to the Dunhill turn or come out through Kilmeaden on the N25 and drop south. From Tramore it is a ten-minute drive north-west through Fenor. The pitch is signposted in the village near Dunhill Castle. Parking is on the grass at the ground and along the village road, and it fills for a big eastern board fixture, so arriving 20 minutes early is worth it. There is no scheduled bus service to Dunhill in the evening, so driving or a lift share is the realistic option.
